Summary

LittleStar ABA Therapy is seeking a passionate and energetic Music Therapist to provide Medicaid Waiver and private pay music therapy services in surrounding areas. Essential Responsibilities

As a music therapist, you will:

  • Complete music therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

  • Deliver engaging, goal-driven music therapy sessions

  • Track progress and prepare quarterly reports

  • Collaborate with families, team members, and the Waiver Services Director

  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely billing

  • Protect client confidentiality and follow HIPAA standards

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, supportive clinical culture

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in music therapist

  • MT-BC certification designated by the Certification Board of Music Therapists

  • CPR/First Aid (or ability to obtain)

  • Experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities

  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills

  • Positive, professional, team-oriented attitude

  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Work Environment

This music therapist position will work in a professional office setting. Sessions will also occur in the client’s home or community-based facilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand; walk, climb stairs, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Travel

Therapist will not transport clients; however, will travel to the locations of each session (client’s home or community-based facilities) not to exceed 30 miles.
